Privacy policy

Clearlabel: Product Labels & Badges ("Clearlabel", "we") is a Shopify app made by Akash Randive, trading as DecisionsCalc. This policy explains what information the app uses when a merchant installs it, and what happens to it.

Information about your shoppers

None is collected. Labels are added in the shopper's browser from data your store already shows on the page. If you target labels by customer tag or country (Pro), that check also happens in the shopper's browser: nothing about the shopper is sent to us. The storefront makes no requests to our servers.

Information about your store

Your labels are saved in your own Shopify store as metaobjects (Content → Metaobjects → Product label). They are not copied to our servers, and they stay in your store if you uninstall the app.
Login sessions: to connect the app to your store, Shopify gives us an access token for your shop. We store your shop's domain and this token on Cloudflare (our hosting provider) so the app can read and save your labels. We delete them when you uninstall.
Plan and usage state: whether your store is on Free or Pro (also saved in your store as a shop metafield), and, for Pro stores, the date labels stopped showing, so we can switch an unused Pro plan back to Free after 30 days. Deleted when it no longer applies and when you uninstall.
Help requests: when you use the in-app help form we keep your message, the reply-to email you give us and a snapshot of your label settings and theme status for up to 90 days, so we can fix the problem. Deleted when you uninstall. Theme fixes we make are saved in your store as a shop metafield (clearlabel.theme).
Products and theme (read only): we read your products to preview labels and to find the products in collections you pick, and your live theme's settings to tell you whether labels are switched on. We don't change your products or theme and don't store them.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking scripts, no analytics on your storefront, and no selling or sharing of data. We never access your customers or orders: the app doesn't request those permissions.

Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed by Shopify. We never see your payment details.

Data requests and deletion

We respond to Shopify's privacy requests (customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction). Because we hold no customer data, there is nothing to export or delete for shoppers. When you uninstall, your login sessions and help requests are deleted at once and any remaining shop data within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request. You can ask us to delete anything at any time by writing to support@decisionscalc.com.

Where data is processed

Login sessions and help requests are stored with Cloudflare, Inc. on its global network. Help requests are also delivered to our support mailbox (Gmail). Your labels stay in Shopify. We are based in India.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
